The EU might “respond swiftly and decisively” against what it calls “unjustified” visa bans imposed by the US on five European individuals involved in fighting digital hatred and disinformation, an EU official has said.

European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe including the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, following the visa restrictions targeted figures who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
